Elise with Audi Engine

Heard about one of those, can't remember who mentioned it.

Anyone knows what's what?

Is the engine much heavier than the k-series? I know they can be tuned to be quite powerful.

What's the cost likely to be?

theres a vid of a 450 bhp one on the net on time attack and it just blitzes everything ill try find it for ya.
Jbs vag tuners in chesterfield have an elise with the 20vt motor pushing over 700 bhp.
Reyland do the conversion i believe.

Steve Gugulielmi does a conversion, I think it's about £15k. I've been out in a 300 bhp version and it's very impressive.

You can't race these in the ET

15k is very expensive, mine had everything inc uprated clutch and gearbox , custom everything , standalone ecu etc etc etc and it cost much less than half that.

Is that the chap in Daventry?

Wouldn't be racing it if I went for the conversion.

I'm still not sure what to do. Might just do TD with the Elise, and rent a car for races if and when I do them.
